Failure In The World Cup: Babar And Rizwan's Central Contract Is Likely To Be Out Of The A Category.

Following Pakistan's poor performance in the T20 World Cup, there is a risk that captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan might be excluded from the A category of the central contracts.

According to sources within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the new selection committee will also be smaller and will finalize the central contracts, but the players' salaries will not be reduced. Sources indicate that work on the new central contracts is ongoing, and in the Test series against Bangladesh, Shan Masood will be the captain while Babar Azam will play as a batter.

Additionally, it has been reported that Mohammad Rizwan might find it difficult to secure a place in the Test squad.
