Following the national team's poor performance and early exit from the T20 World Cup, there has been severe criticism of the cricket team. According to reports, changes are expected in the PCB selection committee due to the team's inadequate performance. There is a strong possibility that Wahab Riaz might be removed from the committee. However, no immediate decision is expected regarding Babar Azam's captaincy as Pakistan does not have any white-ball matches scheduled until November.
Meanwhile, there is a strong possibility of giving new players a chance in the home series against Bangladesh in national cricket team.
It is noteworthy that in March, PCB Chairman Mohsin Khan formed a new selection committee comprising seven members without a chairman.
The selection committee included Mohammad Yousuf, Wahab Riaz, Abdul Razzaq, Asad Shafiq, head coach, captain, and one analyst.
